Apps and Mobile Sites for Library Databases
Several library databases have mobile sites or apps available. All of these have been tested on the iPhone, iPad, iPod, Android phone, and Android tablet unless otherwise indicated.
Please note: many of the customizations in these databases such as searching Journals A-Z and direct ILL requests are unavailable via the apps or mobile sites.
Apps - Download to your mobile device via the Apple App Store or the Android Market
For each app, search for it by the name listed below. Then follow any instructions for installing and activating it.
BookMyne (iPhone, iPad, iPod only)
EBSCOHost Mobile (from EBSCO; includes Academic Search Complete, Business Source Complete, MLA INternational Bibliography and 30 other databases, most with full-text)
AccessMyLibrary (from Gale/Cengage; includes Literature Resource Center, 19th Century British Newspapers, and Making of the Modern World.)
SciVerse ScienceDirect (from Elsevier; full text access to nearly 2000 journals in the social sciences and the health and life sciences)
