Zoom meetings can be scheduled from within a Canvas Course. Users access the Zoom for Canvas tool from the navigation area for the course. The landing page shows information on upcoming meetings and previous meetings. Any user with the correct permissions will see the button "Schedule a New Meeting". Click Schedule a New Meeting to display the Schedule a Meeting page.
1. Follow the screenshot below. Fill out the fields in the meeting settings:
*** Troubleshooting: Zoom does not allow me to schedule class meetings through the end of the semester.
2. Save your meeting.
3. After saving, you can add the Zoom meeting to your calendar. You can also invite attendees (see the screenshot below).
While students will be able to see and join Zoom meetings from within Canvas (see the screenshot below), we suggest the instructor provide students with the invitation details in a Canvas Announcement or through email, so that students have multiple ways to join the class meeting.
