R-MC Resources for Online/Hybrid/In-Person Learning During COVID-19

Off-Campus Research

You DO NOT need to pay $40 for articles found through Google Scholar or a general web search!

Almost all library resources are available from on- and off-campus!  As long as you have internet access, you will be able to access most of our electronic resources.  To start, first click Research Guides on the Library homepage.  You can also view a list of our electronic resources on our A-Z list of databases.

  • The library has access to over 400,000 e-books through EBSCO ebooks, ProQuest E-Book Central, as well as other publishers. You can access e-books from anywhere you have internet access, so take advantage of them! For more information, check out the page titled "Books & Book Chapters."
  • Limited internet access?  Most databases allow you to download articles to your computer in PDF format so you can view them later.
  • Access to Randolph-Macon College's Library's Interlibrary Loan service is available, though delivery of physical items may take longer than previously (before COVID).
    • We can electronically provide:
      • articles
      • chapters of books
    • We can provide (with caveats):
      • entire books IF you are on-campus or live locally and can pick them up at the library. Due dates for ILL books are usually too short to allow us to ship those items to you.
      • Special Collection & Archives items, only what can be safely scanned
