Classes cannot easily shift instructional mode mid-stream, and it is inevitable that there will be significant disruption to both students and faculty in the event of any emergency situation. In light of this disruption, all efforts to continue instruction should be approached with a sense of flexibility and understanding.
It is possible to maintain our connection with students and to complete the work we've begun this semester. We cannot assume that all students have reliable internet access when off-campus, therefore instructors should not rely exclusively on synchronous communication during class times. This resource guide provides tips and guidance in the event you need to move your classes online due to unforeseen emergency circumstances.
