3D Printing3D printouts

3D printing is a service provided to the Randolph-Macon community by the Library. The patron must schedule a training session before requesting 3D printing.  Print request must be placed one week in advance for desired printout pickup date.

R-MC email and password to get to and complete the Online Form.  (If there is a problem accessing the form, go to Google.com, select "Sign in" and use your R-MC email & password to sign in; then paste the URL to go to - https://goo.gl/forms/xu3MJqNidFGSkL9Z2 ).

Currently there is no fee for 3D printing. R-MC class and other academic projects take priority. Non-academic projects are limited to a maximum of 5 prints per person per semester, and each print must not exceed 6 hours. Print time and print results are not guaranteed for non-academic projects.

Google Cardboard VR glasses are available for check-out at the Library Information Desk. Faculty and students are welcome to come to the ID&T office to explore and use the HTC VIVE during these hours:

Monday - Thursday, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm, and 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Friday, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm;

 

Making Your Own Projects

Come and create your own projects using the LEGO pieces and cardboard when the library is open.

 

Multimedia Production

Stop by the Instructional Design & Technology or the Library Information to training on audio, graphic, vide and web production. Also check out the technology workshops offered at the library. Borrow the media equipment and use the production software for class projects, club activities, and your personal hobbies.

  • Design tips; using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Venngage Infographics system

 Video Production (Digital Storytelling)

  • Creating digital stories; using camera, sound, lighting, and Adobe Premiere

 Website Development (ePortfolio)

  • Web design; using WordPress (folios.rmc.edu)
