Open Education Network (OEN)
With funding from SCHEV, the statewide consortium of academic libraries in Virginia (VIVA) joined the Open Education Network (OEN),formerly the Open Textbook Network (OTN). This membership allows us access to training and other resources to facilitate adoption of OER across Virginia.
The primary focus of the OEN is the Open Textbook Library, a repository over 1,000 open textbooks. These books are peer-reviewed.
Funding may be available to provide a stipend to R-MC faculty members to review one of the books in the Open Textbook Library. Contact Laurie Preston (lpreston@rmc.edu) for more information if you are interested in reviewing an item in the Open Textbook Library.
