Scholar's Retreat

The Scholar's Retreat is a week-long event hosted during the week between January Term and the Spring Semester, and during the week following May graduation.

The purpose of the Retreat is to give faculty uninterrupted time to work on a specific writing project, complete research, edit a manuscript, prepare a grant proposal, design a course, etc. The event offers scholars:

  • A personal space to research, read, write, design/revise a course
  • Breakfast and lunch provided by the Library and the HAC
  • Technological, research, and writing support for your projects

The retreat can accommodate groups and individual researchers. Laptops, second monitors, and other tools or technology may be available if requested. Registration information is usually sent via email in January and in May,

The Scholar's Retreat is a hosted by the McGraw-Page Library, the Higgins Academic Center, and RMC Faculty Development.
